Rio's Bubble Run

Friday November 4

8:00 - 12:30

Calling all Seahawks! Come ready to jog or walk the Rio track and raise money for school. And if that’s not fun enough, there will be bubbles! Lots of bubbles!

The Details

On Friday 4 November, between 8:00 and 12:30, all classes will have a 10 minute lap slot to run on the Rio track through a stream of bubbles!

It doesn’t matter how fast students run, or how many laps they complete. This event is about taking part as a class, and having a good time in support of Rio!

Parents are invited to come along to cheer on students! A schedule will be posted in Rio Minders the week of the event, so you can see when each class is running.

The Goal

Through our inaugural Bubble Run, we hope to raise $10,000 to fund improvements around campus. This includes things like installing extra bike racks on the Clubhouse side of campus to increase student safety,  new picnic tables in the blue playground, and landscaping.

This is also a way for students to feel that by raising  sponsorship they can make a positive difference to the school.

We are asking students to raise sponsorship of $25, or more, from friends, relatives and local businesses.

Everything that our students raise goes to Rio!

Sponsorships can be recorded on this form that was sent home from school. Please return your form and payments to your teacher by November 4th - they will be used for the prize drawing!

Sponsorship donations can be made via check or cash returned to school. Or you can donate online here.

All runners get a popsicle treat after their run and will be entered into our prize drawing for Rio goodies.

Students who raise $25 or more will be added into an additional drawing for a chance to win special prizes, including gift cards for Mr Z's Crepe's & Teas, who are generously supporting the event.

We need volunteers to help the event run smoothly. Come support your runners by handing out popsicles or making a huge amount of bubbles? Sign up now to get involved!
