Site Council
The Rio Del Mar Elementary Site Council brings families, teachers, staff, and our principal together to discuss school needs, review student and family feedback, and help shape Rio’s goals and priorities.
About Site Council
The Site Council is not part of the Parent Alliance. Although the two organizations have different goals and agendas, they work closely together to support our school.

2025-2026 School Year

These are some of the highlights of our work from the 2025-2026 school year:

$40,000+ in site funding - we reviewed how school funds could support students, staff, programs, and campus needs.
YouthTruth Survey - About 90% of Rio’s third- through sixth-grade students participated in the YouthTruth survey - and Site Council reviewed what they told us. We learned:
-
37th → 80th percentile - Rio made major gains in students’ sense of belonging.
-
76 families - provided survey feedback on relationships, engagement, school culture, safety, communication, and resources.

School Safety Plan - we discussed the public section of Rio's SPSA, and fed in ideas
